As the Blue Community has grown in size and spread to new regions of the planet, regional coordinators have been established to support Blue Communities and further expand and strengthen the Blue Community network. Below is an overview of the current situation.
BLUE COMMUNITY AFRICA
From the beginning of the Blue Community in spring 2024 until summer 2025, Reverend Kolade Fadahunsi served as coordinator for the Blue Community Africa. In July 2025, Blue Community Africa discussed and agreed on a structure with sub-chapters by region, each with their own coordination, in order to respond to the network’s rapid growth and allow for further development (see here). Along with the new structure came a new coordination team:

| He took the mandate as coordinator for the Blue Communities in Eastern Africa, mainly in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, but covering also the countries of Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe. | |
| He serves as coordinator for the Blue Communities in the English speaking countries of Western and Central Africa. This is mainly Nigeria, but it includes Ghana, Liberia, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau and Sierra Leone. | |
| Souleymane Guindo from the Blue Community Réseau Ecole RadioChico in Mali and neighbouring countries | He coordinates the Blue Communities in the French-speaking part of Africa: Mali, Burkina Faso, the Ivory Coast, Guinea, Togo, Benin, Senegal, Mauritania, Niger, Chad, Cameroon and the Central African Republic, among others. |
BLUE COMMUNITY ASIA
The Blue Community took off in this part of the world only in January 2025, with a first organisation joining from Central Asia. The strongest development, the Blue Community sees however in South Asia, especially India, where more and more organisations joined the global network. A Blue Community South Asia – Coordination Committee (BCSACC) was established by end of May 2026, following a one month discussion among the Blue Communities in the region:

BLUE COMMUNITY LATIN AMERICA
The Blue Community movement in Latin America has a long history, dating back over 10 years. Some of the most significant battles for the human right to water and sanitation have been fought in South America and continue to be.

BLUE COMMUNITY MENA
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is a region spanning two continents and comprising mainly Arabic-speaking countries. In April 2026, the Blue Community designated its first partners in the region and established MENA as a new chapter in the Blue Community Network.

BLUE COMMUNITY EUROPE and NORTH AMERICA
In Europe and North America, coordination is taking place at a national level in countries such as Canada, Italy, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. This is either through one Blue Community taking responsibility, or through several Blue Communities forming a coordination group.
