BLUE COMMUNITY CHAPTER AFRICA

ZWelcome Message

Very Reverend Kolade Fadahunsi
Coordinator, Ecumenical Water Network Africa (EWN-A)

Welcome to the Blue Community Africa Chapter — a continental platform where our shared commitment to water justice, sustainability, and ecological integrity finds both voice and action.

Across Africa, water is life. It nourishes our land, sustains our communities, and carries deep spiritual and cultural significance. Yet, millions still face challenges accessing clean, safe, and affordable water. As part of the global Blue Community movement, we affirm that water is a human right, a public trust, and not a commodity to be privatized.

The Blue Community Africa Chapter is a space for faith-based organizations, communities, academic institutions, and civil society to come together — advocating for the protection of our water sources, promoting responsible use, and educating future generations on the sacred value of water.

We invite you to walk with us as we amplify African voices in the global struggle for water justice, inspired by values of dignity, equity, and care for creation.

Water is life. Water is sacred. Let us protect it — together.
