The ‹Ojulu Island Saviours Foundation› is dedicated to empowering local communities, especially on Uganda‘s islands, and advocating for environmental sustainability, with a particular focus on water access and quality: «Our primary goal is to expand our water access initiatives in Sigulu Island and surrounding communities.»
Established 2023, the organisation has an office in Uganda’s capital Kampala, but mainly works on Sigulu island and other remote islands on Lake Victoria. On April 1, 2025, they became a Blue Community and joined our network (see here).
Beyond awareness activities, OISF also supports the vulnerable, like elderly women unable to fetch water due to distance.
