BLUE COMMUNITY BRAZIL

TComunidad Azul Brasilhe Blue Community in Brazil now includes one city and two universities, but we hope to see new Blue Communities joining soon.

BCPUCPR small

The university Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR) joined the Blue Community in 2023. It was designated a Blue University.

BC UFLA small

The Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA) joined the Blue Community in May 2016. It was designated a Blue University.

BCCambuquira small

Cambuquira with its 14'000 inhabitants was the first city in Latin America to be awarded the Blue City label already in March 2014. The municipal council passed the resolution on March 11 and Council of Canadians chairperson Maude Barlow visited the city on June 7 for a formal presentation of the Blue Community certificate.
