On 26 June, the Centre for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) at the University of Amsterdam hosted a pivotal public lecture exploring a question that demands our attention: What does it mean to be silenced by a system never designed to hear you?
We were honored to welcome Prof. Farhana Sultana, Ph.D. from the Syracuse University – Maxwell School, who spoke alongside leading experts in climate justice and water governance. Together, they unpacked the urgent intersections of climate coloniality, epistemic injustice, and loss and damage, revealing how power shapes whose knowledge counts in climate and water governance.
