HOUEFA Self-Empowerment is an organization committed to personal development, well-being, and sustainable entrepreneurship. It supports individuals and communities in unlocking their potential and building a balanced, conscious, and impactful life through inner transformation.
In the commitment to the Blue Community, HOUEFA states:
HOUEFA wishes to become a Blue Community because we believe that water is not only an environmental resource, but also a fundamental human right, a public good and an essential condition for health, dignity, peace and sustainable development.
Our objectives are to:
• raise awareness among young people about the human right to water and sanitation;
• promote responsible and sustainable use of water;
• encourage access to safe drinking water;
• reduce unnecessary dependence on single-use bottled water;
• promote hygiene and sanitation awareness;
• encourage youth participation in water-related community initiatives;
• create partnerships with schools, communities, public institutions and civil society organisations.
Joining the Blue Community will enable HOUEFA to learn from international experiences, exchange good practices, develop partnerships and strengthen the capacity of young people to contribute to water-related solutions.
We commit to integrating water awareness into our educational programmes, youth activities, community initiatives and digital communication campaigns, and to progressively developing measurable activities under the HOUEFA Blue Youth Initiative.
The HOUEFA Blue Youth Initiative will progressively develop activities, partnerships and measurable indicators to assess its contribution and impact.
Our long-term objective is to contribute to a generation of young citizens who understand the importance of transparent, equitable and sustainable public water governance.
On 20 September 2026, HOUEFA Self-Empowerment received the designation as Blue Community (see here).
