Aura Cameroun Suspended Over Fecal Contamination in Water Supply.
The activities of Aura Cameroun, a company specializing in the treatment of water for human consumption, industrial use, and hospitals, have been suspended effective May 6, 2025, according to a decision signed that same day by the Minister of Water and Energy, Gaston Eloundou Essomba.
“As of the date of signature of this decision, the activities of the company named Aura Cameroun are suspended as a precautionary measure, for the production and commercialization of water unfit for consumption,” the ministerial document stated.
