PFAS and pesticides endanger our health and harm nature. Protecting our waterways is particularly important right now, as current political developments could further weaken water protection.
The aim of the appeal is to call on the Federal Council and Parliament to consistently advocate for clean drinking water, enforce strict rules against harmful substances and secure natural resources in the long term – for the health of the population and future generations.
The appeal is supported by numerous organisations, including WWF, Pro Natura, AWBR, Aqua Viva, the Swiss Fishing Association, BienenSchweiz, Konsumentenschutz (consumer protection), the Fédération romande des consommateur·rice·s and Doctors for Environmental Protection.
