Rise Communities Africa-RISECOM teams & Mbarara city council Speaker Hon Bonny Tashobya Karutsya are engaging Karugangama residents on the banks of River Rwizi, advocating for better services especially a bridge & clean water. The locals have been advised to embrace civic duty and promote public accountability.
Aaron Ainomugisha, Team Leader Rise Communities Africa-RISECOM emphasized:
“As residents, it is your right and freedom to hold leaders accountable. We have to stand together and call on leaders to serve us. Everyone deserves better service delivery. Leadership is about impact on ground not just titles.”
Hon Bonny Tashobya Karutsya, area Councillor for Mbarara City South doubling as City Council Speaker, declared:
“I will work tirelessly and jointly with you to ensure that we develop this area. Bridge, water, better services. We are lobbying, but we shall keep coming to discuss with you the issues that affect you.”
