SELAMO is an acronym and stands for Sustainable Environment for Life And Mobilization. As a non-governmental organization (NGO), it is based in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
SELAMO has a strong commitment to water as a human right and a common good, not a commodity. The values of the Blue Community align with its work in WASH and integrated water resources management. SELAMO’s desire is to contribute to sustainable, equitable, and inclusive water governance, especially in African contexts.
On 12 May 2026, SELAMO was designated a Blue Community and welcomed in the global network (see here).
