11th Edition of World Peace Week: “Building Peace and Protecting the Earth, One Small Step at a Time”

The 11th edition of World Peace Week took place from September 14 to 20, 2026. It was organized by the RadioChico Mali KeneElouteTe School—a unique institution open to all children that offers a different kind of learning environment: one without walls, blackboards, or traditional desks and benches.

A school dedicated to nature, discovery, and joy, RadioChico Mali has made peace education a true tradition. Each year, it organizes a week entirely devoted to peace, coexistence, and environmental protection.

The theme chosen for this 11th edition was: “Building Peace and Protecting the Earth, One Small Step at a Time.”

Throughout the seven days of celebration, the children explored various topics through educational, cultural, and social activities. Each day focused on a specific theme, allowing participants to reflect on their role in building a world that is more peaceful and respectful of nature.

The program included:
* Peace and youth;
* Peace, the environment, and water;
* Peace and culture;
* Peace, spirituality, and religion;
* Peace, sport, and social engagement.

These themes helped raise awareness among the children about values ​​such as tolerance, solidarity, respect for others, and collective responsibility, while highlighting the close link between peace and environmental protection.

Five Doves, a Message for the Five Continents

The week concluded with a deeply moving, symbolic moment: the journey of five doves representing the world’s five continents.

Carrying a message of peace, brotherhood, and harmonious coexistence, these five doves symbolized the hope for a world where differences can become a source of richness, and where peoples can live together in respect and solidarity. Through this initiative, the RadioChico Mali School reaffirms that peace education begins in childhood and that every action, however small, can help build a more peaceful society.

World Peace Week thus serves as an opportunity to live out the values ​​of peace in daily life, while reminding us that protecting the Earth also means helping to preserve the conditions for harmonious coexistence between generations.

Finally, the coordinator of the Francophone Africa Blue Community presented the certificate to the first Blue Community School: the David is King Orphanage Center.
