Summary Report of the “Enhancing Action through Collaboration” One-Day Stakeholder Meeting in Dakar, Senegal now available.
On Sunday, 25 January 2026, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) convened a One-Day Stakeholder Meeting in Dakar, Senegal, in connection with the High-Level Preparatory Meeting for the 2026 United Nations Water Conference.

The meeting was organized in collaboration with the co-hosts of the 2026 UN Water Conference (The Republic of Senegal and the United Arab Emirates) and supported by the UN Secretary-General Special Envoy on Water. It was organized in partnership with the African Civil Society Network on Water and Sanitation (ANEW) and the German WASH Network.
The meeting brought together more than 250 participants from over 150 organizations, including a broad range of stakeholders, Member States and representatives of the UN system, underscoring the central role of inclusive, multi-stakeholder engagement in advancing the global water agenda.
UN DESA prepared a summary report of the key messages and emerging priority recommendations from the One-Day Stakeholder Meeting and its follow up.
